Mozambique Travel Guide is an independent editorial travel-information website. It is not an official tourism authority, travel agency, tour operator, hotel group or booking platform. Commercial and affiliate relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.
What we collect
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to act on what you tell us (for example, to make a correction).
- Visit statistics. The site uses Jetpack Stats to count visits and see which pages are read. It processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page viewed and the referring page. We use it only in aggregate, to understand which parts of the guide are useful.
- Server and security logs. Like any website, our hosting records technical request data (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and operation.
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not sell products on this site, and we do not take payments.
Third-party services
- Stay22. The site loads a script from our accommodation partner, Stay22, and accommodation pages may include a map embedded from Stay22. When these load, your browser connects to Stay22.
- Booking and availability links. When you follow a link to check accommodation or tour availability, you leave this site. Stay22 and the booking platforms it links to, or tour partners such as Viator, then handle your visit and any booking under their own privacy policies. These links carry a tracking reference so that a resulting booking can be attributed to us for commission; we do not receive your booking or payment details.
- Embedded and linked content. Some pages link to or display material from other websites, such as image sources and official travel advice. Those sites handle your data under their own policies when you visit them.

How long we keep data
We keep emails only as long as needed to deal with them and to keep a record of corrections. Statistics are kept in aggregate.
