Vilankulo is the mainland base for the Bazaruto Archipelago, a chain of islands protected as a national park off the coast of northern Inhambane province.

Island lodges, boat trips and marine life define this region, and most visits pass through Vilankulo by air or road. Inhassoro, further north, is a quieter base on the same stretch of coast.

Vilankulo

Bazaruto Archipelago National Park

Inhassoro
